We are Paul and Marie Booth, and we have been working together since 2002. We launched Mercurial 3 years ago, and opened our studio in December 2008. Previously, we conducted photo shoots at clients' homes, and we are still very happy to do so - but in response to clients' requests, it made sense for us to create the option of a studio as well.
We are both members of two professional photography bodies - The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, and The Society of International School and Event Photographers. This means that we abide by professional codes of conduct, we are fully insured, and you can be confident of the quality of our work. We attend regular conferences, and have excellent relationships with the best suppliers in the business - so we remain at the forefront of our profession, and offer a full range of high quality products.
We have invested in the best professional kit, and always attend weddings and shoots with 2 spare cameras and numerous spare lenses. All of our kit is rigorously maintained, and has never failed - but should this ever happen, we are properly backed up!
Many photographers these days belong to bureaus, so the work they show you might not actually be their own - it might be that of another - better - photographer within the bureau. We only work together, and all of our work is our own, including our editing and album design, so you can be sure of an excellent outcome every time. Because with us you are booking 2 professional photographers, the coverage of your wedding day or shoot will be second to none.
Perhaps most importantly, for both of us, photography is an absolute obsession! We love it, we live and breathe it - and we are perfectionists. We work incredibly hard for all of our clients to make sure that they get the very best possible results, and as you can see from their testimonials, our clients are very happy with us.
